I will admit (my family would tell you even if I didn’t) that I have attempted the elusive faux finish before. I have also attempted the “red” paint job. A color that professionals painters fear to paint, and with good reason. I will also admit that half way through my red paint job attempt – that would be coat number 47 for those keeping count – I was tempted to leave it looking just like this one.
That’s why these people are getting off with just a slap on the wrist even though this is a truly horrifying crime against paint.
Trying to paint a room red would make anyone commit a crime.

Next time you decide to use red paint, make sure you first apply a gray tinted primer – you will need just 2 coats of paint (not 47), and the color will look even and beautiful.

I’ve heard the gray stuff works. The people at the paint store who sold me pink primer were obviously punking me.
