Crimes Against Paint - Faux finishI will admit (my family would tell you even if I didn’t) that I have attempted the elusive faux finish before. I have also attempted the “red” paint job. A color that professionals painters fear to paint, and with good reason. I will also admit that half way through my red paint job attempt – that would be coat number 47 for those keeping count – I was tempted to leave it looking just like this one.

That’s why these people are getting off with just a slap on the wrist even though this is a truly horrifying crime against paint.

Trying to paint a room red would make anyone commit a crime.

Crimes against paint Neon Green

Things these people may have been thinking:

1. Wow, this paint is really cheap! I wonder why.

2. The sunny yellow is a little bland, what I’d really like is a nice pop of color.

3.  You know, now that we’ve got all the railings painted, I’m not so sure I like this. Maybe we should wait about finishing the columns.

4. Nothing says Happy Labor Day! like Christmas lights and a festive red bow on the door.
